We really enjoyed our stay in Monte da Caniveta, a place of quitness where we felt at home. The town Vila Nova de Milfontes is really nice and charming and closeby. The hosts are really nice and helpfull. They will be placing a pool in a few monts, that will be the finishing touch.

Beautiful, well-equipped cottage. Everything clean, attention to every detail! Beautiful surroundings, large area around the cottage, peace and quiet, and yet close to everything. Modern and cozy. Great contact with the owner. The hosts are very friendly and helpful! We recommend and will definitely come back 🙂

Monte da Caniveta, located a few miles from the charming city of Sao Luis, provided the perfect tranquil escape during our recent trip. We enjoyed the relaxing easy walk into Sao Luis, which took about half an hour, but taxis were also easily available and affordable. The property features several charming individual cottages, each offering privacy and tranquility. Our cottage looked brand new. The upstairs comfortable beds and soft linens, ensured a restful night's sleep. The downstairs living room was spacious and comfortable, with large windows overlooking the beautiful countryside. The fireplace created a warm and inviting ambiance, perfect for relaxing with a book and maps after a day of exploring. We appreciated the super clean bathroom and the fully equipped kitchen, although we didn't cook during our stay. Monte da Caniveta's peaceful location, just a short distance from Sao Luis and surrounded by natural beauty, makes it an ideal retreat for those seeking relaxation and rejuvenation.

It was an unforgettable experience… a few days that felt like weeks!In the middle of nature without noise, cars or confusion.The house is perfect for couples with children, it has everything we could need… and the terrace with views of the mountains is really the icing on the cake!The cold nights called for the fireplace and the terrace invited you to watch the stars and the moon.Monte is close to everything but at the same time far enough away to feel immersed in nature…Thank you Leonor and António for your attention and friendliness, Monte da Caniveta is the perfect getaway in summer or winter and we will definitely return!

Beautifully located and quiet place. Ideal for a rest, retreat and walking or biking. Owners very helpful and welcoming. Close to the village Sao Luis with its market, organic shops and restaurants & cafe's. Will be going back for sure!

A fantastic stay!! A new and very well maintained house. It is very well equipped, a haven of peace and tranquility. A great place to disconnect, at night the sky is spectacular!Very close to supermarkets and spectacular beaches.Antonio is a great host!100% recommendable

Monte da Caniveta was an absolute gem! Just a quick drive from the cute village of S. Luís and close to awesome beaches and trails. We crashed at Casa dos Compadres and loved the cozy vibes and all the essentials like Wi-Fi and a kitchen. The stand up paddle boards and bikes were a blast, and Antonio was super helpful and friendly. Also, the mobile sauna is a must-try! Perfect spot for a family getaway. Can't wait to come back!

A 6 night stay. Clean house and surrounding spaces, house ready for a long stay with everything needed. Very close to S. Luís, a land of charm, diverse but welcoming inhabitants. Our hosts also gave us several interesting tips for visiting, where to eat or shop. The roads are excellent, access to the mountain is on dirt but nothing special. I recommend it to anyone who likes the peace of the countryside, the greenery around, the sound of birds, very good for restoring energy. Thank you, I will be back

Our stay was magnificent! This place is ideal for a stay in nature and peace, just a stone's throw from the sea by car.It was lucky to be able to find a typical Alentejo house that was comfortable and well furnished.Ideal for two couples with children.Thank you for this wonderful stay, we will come back. That's for sure!

Monte da Caniveta was the perfect place for our long weekend! Waking up in the middle of the tranquility of Alentejo was exactly the getaway we needed. Super comfortable and clean conditions. We will definitely be back!

It is a very pleasant place to spend a few days. The houses are very welcoming and well equipped, clean and cared for. They accept pets, which is a huge plus. A big surprise was that we were able to enjoy free Stand Up Paddle. Congratulations on the space and the concept.
